We Return, Bearing Mixed Nuts

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it’s better to be thoroughly sure.” -Czech proverb

The ladies of liquor would like to humbly beg your apologies for being so lax in our duties lately. But life, as it so often does, gets in the way of more important things (like alcohol, partying, friends, and did we mention alcohol…).

As a token of our gratitude for your inestimable patience, please allow us to offer your one of our finest discoveries:

Well…we thought you’d enjoy this picture of an LOLSquirrel (yes! they exist!) ’cause he’s just so gosh darn cute!

Plus, he’s the one who told us about this beer. We swear:

Troegs Rugged Trail Nut Brown Ale

Troegs Brewing Company was founded in 1997 by Chris and John Trogner, two entrepreneurial brothers conveniently located right here in Pennsylvania.

Kunoichi Erica: My first thoughts upon tasting this beauty were “chestnuts roasting on an open fire.” A beer that goes down as smooth as Nat King Cole’s voice, prepare to purchase more than one. With a taste as warm as Hershey’s Chocolate, and not overwhelming like Godiva, this beer will keep you happy all night long.

rachel-riot-thumbnail1Rachel Riot: Put this beer up to you nose and you can just smell the nutty aroma. After one sip my eyes lit up in delight. “It’s Delicious!” is the best way to describe this smooth, dark lager. It’s like Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears: not too strong, not too weak, but just right…not too heavy, not too light, but juuust right! I had the enjoyment of sipping the night away for $4/pint at the M Room in Fishtown not too long ago. It’s a beer that sits well and you can enjoy more than one of these throughout the night.
